The PocketJet is 10" x 2.2" x 1.2" and weighs 17 ounces with battery. Print resolutions is 300 x 300 d.p.i., and is built solid to take rough handling that comes with being used in a mobile office. No special drivers needed for Windows, DOS applications or Windows CE (with the New PocketJet 200).

The PocketJet uses direct thermal printing (no ribbon or ink) and requires Pentax-brand thermal paper - which is only $11.99 per 100 sheet. Cost per page is eleven cents!


Setting up the printer is a snap. Plug in the printer, select your software's HP LaserJet IIP driver, feed a page into the top-loading slot and your printing. It couldn't be easier.

Print speed is fast at 3 pages per minute. The NiCd battery comes standard, fits inside the unit and weighs less than 4 ounces. It prints 30 to 35 pages per charge and recharges in about 70 minutes.

Everything you need is included in the package (see image directly above) so you print right out of the box. NOTHING extra to buy. The complete package includes the printer, rechargeable battery, AC adapter / recharger, power cord, parallel interface cable, carrying case, documentation, and a box of Letter or A4 size paper.
